The Paschal High School orchestra program consists of three string orchestras: Intermediate, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. The Varsity orchestra also performs full orchestra music and has collaborated with both the band and choir programs. Students in orchestra have the opportunity to compete both individually and as an ensemble. Individually, students may audition for the All-District, All-Region, and All-State orchestras, as well as participate at solo and ensemble contests. As an ensemble, the orchestras participate in the UIL Concert and Sight reading contest every year. Orchestra Officers for 2007-2008 are:

Orchestra Director The orchestras are under the direction of Kristi Tollefson. Ms. Tollefson has 10 years prior teaching experience and recently completed her Masters of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. Her orchestras have earned consecutive Sweepstakes at UIL contests and she is an active member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Association. Other professional memberships include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Orchestra Directors Association, and American String Teachers Association. Ms. Tollefson has performed with the Concordia College Symphony Orchestra, the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony, the Valley Symphony Orchestra, the University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra, and the San Angelo Symphony. She has performed in a variety of chamber ensembles and is currently a member of Mariachi Inolvidable. On Monday, October 15, Paschal hosted the FWISD All-District Orchestra auditions. Every Paschal orchestra student who auditioned either earned a spot in the orchestra or made first alternate! Congratulations to these students!! Important Links
