154 Paschal Students Recognized as AP Scholars
(Based on the May, 2007 AP Exams)

Each fall The College Board gives recognition to high school students (and recent graduates) based on their performance on the AP exams of the previous May.

Paschal High School has learned recently that a very large number of students have been named Advanced Placement Scholars - 154 of them, following the exams of May, 2007. There are several different categories of AP Scholars as described here. We feel certain this is the largest number of AP Scholars ever achieved by any high school in Fort Worth - public or private.

AP Scholars are those students who have made scores of 3, 4, or 5 on at least three AP exams in their high school careers. Paschal has 94 students recognized as AP Scholars, including graduates of 2007 as well as current seniors and juniors.

AP Scholars with Honor are those students who have made scores of 3, 4, or 5 on at least four AP exams and also have an average score of 3.25 or higher. Paschal has 23 AP Scholars with Honors.

AP Scholars with Distinction are those students who have made scores of 3, 4, and 5 on five or more exams and also have an average score of 3.5 or higher. Paschal has 37 AP Scholars with Distinction.

National AP Scholars are those students who have made scores of 4 or 5 on at least EIGHT AP exams with an average score of at 4.0 or higher. Paschal has 9 National AP Scholars this year. (These students are also in the group of AP Scholars with Distinction.)

Please see the article on Superintendent's Scholars elsewhere on this website. AP Scholars are part of that group of honorees.
